It took four long weeks, but the Chicago Bears offense finally arrived in a big way against the Denver Broncos. The Bears took it to Denver’s defense thanks to a near-perfect first half from quarterback Justin Fields. The Bears scored three touchdowns against the Broncos defense, a unit that allowed 70 points to the Miami Dolphins one week ago, to lead 21-7 at the half.
Fields was sensational, completing 16-of-17 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns with a perfect quarterback rating of 158.3. His lone incompletion was on a Hail Mary to end the half. He’s easily on his way to having the best game of his career by a wide margin. Fields and the offense have 265 yards at halftime, already totaling more yards than their last two games.
Buy Bears TicketsThe Bears got their scoring thanks to big plays from wide receivers D.J. Moore and Darnell Mooney, tight end Cole Kmet, and clutch runs from running back Khalil Herbert. Here are all three touchdowns from the first half.
Touchdown to D.J. Moore
Fields and the offense got on the board thanks to an incredible touchdown catch from Moore. Fields dropped back to launch the ball 29 yards to Moore in the corner of the end zone, who miraculously got both feet in to secure the touchdown, tying the game 7-7.

1st touchdown to Cole Kmet
After the defense shut down the Broncos offense deep in their own territory, the offense kept their foot on the gas. Fields found Kmet wide open for the 14-yard touchdown, where he walked into the end zone untouched. It might have been Kmet’s easiest touchdown of his career and put the Bears up 14-7.

2nd touchdown to Kmet
At this point, there was no stopping this offensive machine. Fields continued to make accurate throws, but this touchdown drive was set up thanks to an incredible catch by wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, who was up after Chase Claypool was benched. Herbert then got the Bears into the red zone, before Fields scrambled and dumped the ball to Kmet for his second touchdown.
