The NFL announced the teams that will be playing international games in 2023, which includes five matchups between London and Germany.
The Bills, Titans and Jaguars will play games in London while the Chiefs and Patriots will play games in Germany. So how does this concern the Bears?
Chicago will face Kansas City in 2023 (schedule to be finalized in May). The Bears are set to face the Chiefs on the road, which means there’s a chance that game (a Kansas City home game) could be International.
It’s hard not to figure the Bears are a favorite to face the Chiefs in Germany. Ryan Poles was an executive with Kansas City before coming to Chicago. Patrick Mahomes vs. Justin Fields, two of the league’s exciting young quarterbacks. Then there’s the Matt Nagy of it all. It’s everything you could want to be featured on an international stage.

Another reason it would make sense is because the Bears are due an international game. They last faced the Raiders in London back in 2019.
Chicago has played three international games in London dating back to 1986, when they beat the Cowboys 17-6 in a preseason game at Wembley Stadium.
The Bears have played in London twice since then — back in 2011, when they beat the Buccaneers 24-18 at Wembley Stadium, and most recently in 2019, losing to the Raiders 24-21 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
