A paediatric neurosurgeon from Belfast is swapping his theatre for the silver screen in a test of mettle on Bear Grylls' Treasure Island.
Mano Shanmuganathan, 42, will have to fight to survive after being marooned on an island with 11 other contestants for 35 days.
Among them are a plumber, writer, a former marine and a blud-blooded aristocrat.
If the highly respected doctor lasts the course, he could be coming home with a slice £100,000 loot if they win.
But Mano will have to stick it out for the full term if he is to be in with a chance of winning any of hidden riches on the revamped show.
The series will be aired across six episodes and starts next month.
Islanders can cooperate on the newly revamped show, but with money involved can anyone be trusted?
