The hugely popular Christmas Evenings at Beamish Museum are to go on sale this Wednesday morning.
The County Durham museum will be bracing itself for a flood of interest when it releases tickets for the annual treat which is always a sell-out. The Christmas Evenings openings will see the open-air site festooned with decorations as visitors arrive to enjoy seasonal music and entertainment in the spirit of bygone times.
The after-hours events will run on December 8, 9, 15 and 16 from 4.30pm until 9.30pm. Beamish says visitors can expect the likes of traditional Punch and Judy shows and Christmas craft sessions while they shop for festive gifts at stalls in The 1900s Town.

Other attractions will include rides at The Fairground and an Elf Wood where Father Christmas’ little helpers have created their own village. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for the evening events so separate tickets have to be bought.
They will go on sale online on September 21 at 10am, costing £15 for adults and £10 for two to 16-year-olds. There are also tickets available to see Father Christmas in his Grotto which are priced £6 for those aged up to 16.
