Holly Willoughby has been pictured enjoying the sun with her family in Portugal just days before her scheduled return to This Morning on Monday.
The presenter can be seen wearing a pair of dark denim shorts with a black swimming costume and Holly paired the look with a white sun hat.
In pictures obtained by the Mirror, Holly was spotted carrying a bottle of water over to her family with a couple of ice lollies in her short pocket.
The TV presenter has been missing from the ITV programme ever since Phillip Schofield's immediate exit from This Morning was announced, with them presenting their last instalment together on Thursday, May 18.
When Phillip's exit was confirmed, ITV clarified in their statement that Holly would be returning to This Morning after an extended half-term break.
Philip later parted ways with ITV and his management company after admitting to having an "unwise" but "not illegal" affair with a younger colleague.
Addressing her former co-host's bombshell, Holly shared a statement with fans on Instagram.
Holly said "When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, a source said that Holly has no intentions of quitting This Morning, and hopes to "ride out the scandal".
The source confirmed she plans to quit This Morning only if the show itself was axed and plans to continue presenting the programme she loves.
“Holly wants to stay at This Morning as long as she can, and hopes to ride out the scandal. Other stars like Stephen Mulhern are being approached to fill in for Phil when she returns. Some are reluctant to go in and face angry viewers," the source said.
“Holly is determined to stay put - the only reason she would leave now is if This Morning is axed. She has absolutely no plans to leave.”
Holly's return date to This Morning was confirmed when Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary hosted the first show after Phillip's exit was announced.
Alison said: "Now we can't start today's show without paying tribute to the man who has spent the last two decades sitting on this sofa – Phillip Schofield."
"Everyone on and off the screen at ITV and This Morning want to say a huge thank you to Phil for what he's done to make this show a success over the last 21 years," Dermot continued before Alison added: "Quite simply we all know he's one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had and we, and all the team, wish him all the best for the future."
Explaining Holly's absence, Dermot said: "Holly is taking a break over half term, she'll be back in the studio in two weeks."
Before Schofield’s confession, Willoughby previously said of his exit: “It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him.”
At the time his immediate departure was announced, Phillip commented: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
