Beale responds to Kamara Rangers transfer exit for Leeds speculation

Michael Beale has revealed there is "nothing" in the speculation linking Glen Kamara with a move to Leeds.

The Rangers midfielder has been touted as a transfer target for the Championship side.

However, Beale insists there is no truth in the transfer links at the moment.

Ahead of the second leg of the Champions League third qualifying round match against Servette, Beale stated: "There’s nothing in that one at this moment."

The Ibrox boss previously revealed Kamara was training alone at the club last month and that "different enquiries" had been made for the midfielder.

But, as it stands, Leeds United are not closing in on a deal to sign the Finland international.

Speaking on July 31, Beale had said of Kamara's situation: “There’s no update on Glen. He was obviously given an extended break at the end of the season due to internationals then he’s had a sickness problem which has run on.

“He’s training in isolation at the moment, not with the group, trying to get himself up to speed.

“There’s a lot in the background with Glen as well with different enquiries and him talking to different people.

“So it’s best that he’s to the side of the group. I’ve got no issues with him on a personal level, it’s a conversation we had a good few months ago."

Meanwhile, Beale went on to rule out a transfer swoop for Bristol City defender Zak Vyner.

Asked whether there was any truth in the speculation of interest in the 26-year-old, Beale said: "No truth in that whatsoever."
