Steven Gerrard's exit from Al-Ettifaq was confirmed on Thursday - but there was no mention of Michael Beale.
The former Rangers boss had hired Beale just two months ago to join him in Saudi Arabia.
But Gerrard has now departed the Saudi Pro League club after a mutual agreement was reached between the Liverpool legend and Al-Ettifaq chiefs.

While Gerrard's future was confirmed, there was no mention of Beale's position at Al-Ettifaq.
Instead, club president Samer al Misehal stated his trust in the staff and players at the club to achieve success in the future.
He said: "We trust in our players, staff, and fans to push forward together, and we will continue to be fully committed in our efforts to reach our goals."
In fact, Beale only posted an image of him leading training in Al-Ettifaq gear on Wednesday night - just hours before news of Gerrard's departure.
He captioned the post: "Evening training under the lights ⚽️😍"
Beale reunited with Gerrard - who he was assistant to at Rangers and Aston Villa - after being sacked by Sunderland.

Beale was only at the helm at the Stadium of Light for 63 days - the shortest permanent managerial stint in the history of the club.
Before that, Beale had been at Rangers and Queens Park Rangers after splitting from Gerrard's Aston Villa backroom team for his first role as a manager in his own right.
The experienced coach previously held roles at Sao Paulo, Liverpool and Chelsea.
