The group charged with bringing music to Irvine's brand new Making Waves festival have said household names will be on the bill.
Freckfest will be curating the range of artists on show at the inaugural Irvine event billed for July 23 and July 24 this year.
We told you that town's harbourside and beach park will play host to the new festival with top-quality live music and outdoor activities both on and off the water.
The line-up for the big event has yet to be revealed with work well underway to book up and coming bands, local acts and household names.
Freckfest, the award-winning voluntary organisation tasked with bringing bands to an ‘exciting’ two-day festival in Irvine, say they are delighted to be on board.
The Making Waves festival will take place in the harbourside and beach park on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24
Craig McAllister from Freckfest told the Irvine Herald: “The Freckfest team was delighted to be asked to put together the billing for the music element of Making Waves.
“Our objective since we started has always been to bring big name acts back to Irvine and finally, we’ll have a two-day event at the beach park.
“There’ll be household names, up and coming artists and a healthy dose of local talent - something for everyone.
“We are very keen to see Making Waves as the start of something annual that will grow bigger each year. It’s very exciting.”
