Around 200 National Cadet Corps (NCC) officers and volunteers will participate in Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, a nation-wide campaign to clean up beaches, to be organised in Kannur on Monday.
Kannur District Collector S. Chandrasekhar will open the drive at Payyambalam beach at 8.30 a.m. The commanding officer of 31 (K) BN NCC, Kannur, Colonel N. Ramesh, will preside over the function, a release said.
The clean-up drive is initiated by the 31 (K) battalion.
