Be your best version

Through its "Confidence To Be" platform, Merz Aesthetics sparks conversation around each person's uniqueness.

Likewise, the Mae Sue Mae Chak Facebook community is where single people can post about themselves as well as the type of person that they are looking for.

Individuality is celebrated in the German Toxin x Mae Sue Mae Chak collaboration, whose Destiny Love campaign was launched last Friday at Siam Square One.

"Confidence comes from being yourself. Self-love is the basis to becoming the best version of yourself, which leads to opportunities, success and other good things in life," said Kittiwan Rattanachandr, associate vice-president of Merz Aesthetics Thailand.

The local Destiny Love campaign highlights how the new-generation German Toxin can help boost self-confidence.

Firstly marketed by Frankfurt-based Merz Therapeutics, the purified botulinum toxin is mainly prescribed for neurological and movement disorders.

The purification is achieved by a state-of-the-art manufacturing process that removes complex proteins from the toxin produced by bacteria.

In medical aesthetics, the injectable is used to temporarily fade wrinkles and soften a square jawline by relaxing specific facial muscles. The cosmetic procedure has expanded to injections into the skin to treat excess oil and shine as well as oversized pores for a smoother complexion.

Other concerns such as loss of volume and sagging skin can be addressed by Swiss dermal fillers and Ultherapy devices that comprehensively make Merz Aesthetics a leader in the medical aesthetic industry.

"Consumers can embrace innovations to reinforce confidence. Our products fuel self-confidence by helping people look and feel better. This will empower them to write their own destiny," said Kittiwan.

The Destiny Love campaign conveys how being the best version of yourself will naturally attract others.

Merz Aesthetics Thailand's marketing director Krisada Mongkoltarn noted: "We collaborated with the Mae Sue Mae Chak community, which helps people find their ideal love. The campaign is based on a marketing survey, which found that 55% of respondents invest in enhancing their love fortune. This reflects superstitious beliefs, which led to the 'muketing' trend."

Muketing is a blend between mu and marketing. Referring to superstition, mu comes from Mu Teluh, which is said to be taken from an Indonesian film titled Penangkal Ilmu Teluh or Antidote For Witchcraft.

The muketing campaign particularly targets the younger generation looking for love, with actors Tawan Vihokratana and Thitipoom Techaapaikhun representing this age group at the launch event.

Instead of amulets and other superstitious approaches, Krisada noted that boosting self-confidence, self-image and self-love will work their magic.

The purified German Toxin medically improves personal appearance, and being the best version of yourself can as well be the lucky charm to attract love into your life.
