Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Tawazun Economic Council (TEC), United Arab Emirates (UAE), exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday to explore new business opportunities in various areas of mutual interest in the field of defence.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of BDL CMD Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd.), Director (Technical) N.P. Diwakar, chief officer of the Tawazun Economic Council Zayed Saeed Zaal Hadher Almeraikhi and other senior officials from both sides.
BDL’s P. Radhakrishna, Director (Production), N. Srinivasulu, Director (Finance), Upendra Vennam, CVO, and others were present.
Tawazun Economic Council is the defence and security acquisition authority for the UAE armed force and also manages the procurement and contracts covering administrative, technical, contractual and functional aspects.
Both BDL and TEC will work together to identify different business opportunities and assess the viability and feasibility of jointly implementing them in the field of co-development, co-production, establishment of joint ventures, setting up of maintenance, repair, refurbishment, life extension facilities, supply of military products as well as licensed production. They will also explore the export possibility of the products to reach out to global demands, said a press release.
