A new adrenaline-filled six-part series is landing on BBC Three tonight (February 16), and you may spot a very familiar South Gloucestershire face in its inaugural episode.
Starring MOBO Award-winning musician and Brummie petrolhead Mist, Gassed Up features drama, drag racing - not the RuPaul kind - and incredible adrenaline-pumped challenges. Mist takes on some of the biggest challenges on the UK scene, with each episode seeing him go head to head against a different celebrity.
In tonight's episode, Mist will be challenging Joel Dommett as they paint the town neon, turning a disused village in Yorkshire into the ultimate night-time, racing video game. With every challenge, Mist is supported by expert driver and drift queen Becky Evans, pro BMXer and prankster Ryan Taylor, and supercar dealer Rob Kelly.

Mentored and judged by specialists from the automotive scene, Mist and his guests will learn the tricks of the trade, equipping them to create and commandeer crazy vehicles, leading to an ultimate head to head track challenge.
Gassed Up was pitched to Mist shortly after he had completed a rally around Europe, so the rapper jumped at the opportunity. And, despite his self-assigned petrolhead status, it appears he is in awe of Joel's skills.
When asked who his favourite contestant was, 29-year-old Mist said: "Can I give you two?! All six celebrities were great, but I feel like Joel Dommett for me was a good one because he actually was so scared when he first came on the show. And then by the end of the episode, he was absolutely the truest driver – you’d never think that he’d not done the things he did on the show!

"Another one as well was Spencer Matthews, he was a very dark horse as well, do you know what I mean? I thought, 'Here you go, he’s not gonna be ready for this' - and then when we actually got going it got very serious in the field, very competitve!"
Other celebrities featured on the show include former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, Olympic boxer Nicola Adams, rapper Big Narstie, footballer Chelcee Grimes, and Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.
When drift queen Becky Evans was asked who she would like to see on the show next, she said: "I would love to see Maya Jama on the show! I feel like Maya Jama would’ve been great craic, Mo Gilligan, someone like that? Hilarious, he would’ve been really fun.
"Jack Whitehall. I think people with a sense of humour, that’s where it’s at. I was watching the show, and at some points... it’s so stupid, it’s hilarious! We all have to laugh at ourselves a little bit. We take it seriously, but we’re having fun."
The first episode of Gassed Up will air tonight, February 16, on BBC Three at 9pm.
