The Traitors is the nail-biting BBC One show nobody saw coming. The competition, which was filmed on location in the Scottish Highlands, kicked off an Tuesday, November 29 and saw 22 contestants embroil in a game of backstabbing lies and deceit.
With the brilliant Claudia Winkleman at the helm, viewers have tuned in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights to see who gets "murdered" and who gets banished as the players try to work out who among them is a traitor.
If you're not up to speed, here's how it works. The contestants have to complete missions together every episode to add money to a prize pot, however, hidden among them are traitors whose job it is to "murder" one of their fellow players every night.

Everyone else in the game is labelled a faithful. It's their job to detect who the traitors are and banish them from the game before they become their next victim. If there are any traitors left at the end of the show they get to steal all the money in the prize pot for themselves.
It's safe to say the game so far has been intense, with viewers totally gripped as players turn on one another the higher the stakes get. With just one episode left to go many are wondering how the final works, who the finalists and what to expect next. Here's everything we know.
When is The Traitors final?
The last episode of the series will air on Thursday, December 22 at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. As usual, the instalment is just one hour long.
Who are the finalists?
There are five players left in the game, all of whom have survived banishment, murders and a whole lot of treachery. Unfortunately for the faithfuls there are still two traitors in the game after Wilfred Webster recruited Kieran Tompsett.
The finalists are:
Aaron, 24 - Property Agent
Hannah, 32 - Comedian
Kieran, 42 - Solutions Consultant - Traitor
Meryl, 25 - Call Centre Agent
Wilfred, 28 - Senior Fundraiser - Traitor
How does the final work?
There will be one more mega mission that could see the contestants bag up to £120,000 and a final roundtable, and after that the contestants get to decide when the game ends. Explaining how it works during the penultimate episode, Claudia told the finalists they would "face the mission to end all missions" in the final.
She then explained: "Not only that, your evening has the highest stakes yet. There will be a roundtable tomorrow, and after that, you will decide when the game ends. When you are confident that there are no remaining traitors, you just tell me, and the game ends.
"Remember, if there is a traitor or traitors remaining, they take the entire prize fund and it's a lot of money. It currently stands at £81,050."
For the lucky ones who survive the final roundtable, it means they have the chance of winning a life-changing amount of cash. But if a traitor remains undetected in the game, they’ll take all the money for themselves. You can see who viewers think will win the show here.
