BBC The One Show: Mel B and Ruby Wax cause chaos as the Spice Girl goes commando

Broadcasting live can bring some funny moments and guests, Spice Girl Mel B, TV personality Ruby Wax and actress Emily Atack proved just how unpredictable guests can be on The One Show. Hosts, Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones and Ronan Keating were left speechless after the girls caused chaos on the show.

Teaming up together for a new BBC show Trailblazers, which sees Mel B, Ruby and Emily re-trace the footsteps of Yorkshire-born and intrepid Victorian explorer, Isabella Bird in America, the women were on The One Show to promote the show. During their interview, they spoke over each other, quarrelled and even interrupted the presenters.

Fed up with Ruby exaggerating the truth Mel stood up with her back to Ruby, blocking the TV personality out. Touching Mel's bum Ruby exclaimed: "There is no underpants here!" while Mel responded: "Well no, I don't wear underpants!"

Emily joined in on the fun and stroking Mel's side said: "Oh my gosh, she's got no knickers on!" while Alex and Ronan could only laugh. Other moments included Mel trying to push Ruby off the sofa, while Emily, sensing the interview was going awry, said: "I'll try and steer this in a more calm direction."

Things became (faux) heated when Ruby try to claim that Mel and Emily didn't know anything about Isabella Bird, where Mel quipped: "I will get you after this show!" Emily also revealed that she saw Ruby's bum "a couple of times" while on the trip and at the end of the interview Mel tried to lead Emily and Ruby off the set at the wrong time while Alex was trying to link to the next segment.

After the trio left Alex humourously whispered: "It's quiet here now, isn't it? They've gone.."

The One Show has been moved to BBC Two recently, due to TV schedule changes because of the World Cup. You can read more on that here.
