BBC's The One Show has announced it will be returning to screens this weekend for a special programme about Her Majesty the Queen. It comes after Britain's longest-reigning monarch passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8.
Following the sad news, many broadcasters made big changes to their schedules to allow for rolling news coverage as the former Prince of Wales becomes King Charles III alongside his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort and the nation continues to mourn.
On Saturday, September 10, the focus will be on and around the Royal Family and related news coverage on BBC One. Some evening shows such as The Hit List, Pointless Celebrity and Casualty have been moved to BBC Two as BBC One continues to reflect on the Queen's life and unprecedented 70-year reign with special films and documentaries.

The regional news will air at 5.50pm, before BBC News returns at 6pm. At 6.45pm, The One Show will air a special programme called Our Queen Remembered.
The popular show shared the news on Friday night, telling its social media followers: "#TheOneShow will be paying tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II in a special programme tomorrow evening on @BBCOne. We'd love to include some of your personal experiences and memories of meeting the Queen and any pictures you'd like to share."
The day will end with Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen at 7.45pm, which will run for an hour and 15 minutes before When the Queen Spoke to the Nation airs. It will be followed by the BBC News until the end of the day.
ITV has also made changes to its Saturday slate. While the day was mostly filled with news coverage and royal documentaries, the broadcaster has confirmed that The Masked Dancer and The Voice UK are both set to go ahead on Saturday, September 10.
