BBC The Graham Norton Show: Dame Judi Dench on finding love after husband's death

The Graham Norton Show is back on our screens this evening with a host of celebrity faces.

One of those well-loved faces will be Dame Judi Dench.

National treasure Judi Dench has captivated audiences in cinemas, theatres and in their homes for decades .

Speaking to the host, she will be talking all things show biz and her real life, reported MyLondon.

This won't be the first time Dame Judi has revealed details about her personal life, as in 2014, she told The Times magazine about finding love after losing her husband of 30 years to lung cancer in 2001.

Dame Judi was married to Liverpudlian actor Michael Williams from 1971 and 2001 and only found love again after nine years.

She has been in a relationship with conservationist David Mills since 2010 when they met at the opening of a squirrel enclosure.

Dame Judi told the Times "I wasn't even prepared to be ready for it. It was very, very gradual and grown up. It's just wonderful."

The avowed Quaker and Everton fan is also a big advocate against ageism in acting.

She is reported as saying: “I'm tired of being told I'm too old to try something.

"I should be able to decide for myself if I can't do things and not have someone tell me I'll forget my lines or I'll trip and fall on the set. [...] Age is a number.

“It's something imposed on you. It drives me absolutely spare when people say, 'Are you going to retire? Isn't it time you put your feet up?' Or tell me [my] age."

Dame Judi is not allowing age or macular degeneration which affects eyes and sight slow her down, telling the Guardian recently that while she may have to adjust how she works, she is not going to retire.
