Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kym Marsh has “won” Instagram after she posted a video showing her miming to a song from the film School of Rock.
Kym, 46, shared the video – filmed by Strictly dance partner Graziano Di Prima – on Friday, giving fans a behind the scenes look at her ballroom training. The Corrie actress was seen dancing and miming along to a song from the much-loved Jack Black comedy, as she was said to be working on her “confidence.”
The former popstar was rocking out to Jack's character Dewey Finn’s a cappella version of Legend of the Rent, much to Graziano’s amazement. Captioning the post, the Italian dancer said: “We are working on the confidence... I guess.”

The pair’s comments section was inundated with laughing emojis as fans reacted to Kym's rousing rendition. Strictly professional Nancy Xu – currently partnered with actor Will Mellor – said: “@marsh_kym you WINNNN.”
One fan wrote: “Go on lass!! Fantastic!”
Another said: “Ha don’t think she needs to worry about confidence.”
“Haha love it, your face is class @grazianodiprima,” said a third. “Go Kym.”
Kym is currently appearing in the 20th series of BBC’s flagship dance contest, competing for the glitterball trophy alongside Loose Women host Kaye Adams, Paralympian Ellie Symmonds, and Bros frontman Matt Goss. She first rose to fame as a member of pop group Hear’Say, who formed as part of ITV reality show Popstars in 2001.
Following their split in 2002, Kym found success in several TV roles, most notably Corrie, which she left in 2019 after 13 years. She is now set for a starring role in BBC’s revival of school-based drama Waterloo Road.
