TV presenter Helen Skelton has gone from strength to strength this autumn thanks to her stint on Strictly Come Dancing after a tough start to the year when she split from her husband weeks after giving birth. But on Sunday, December 11 she showed how to keep calm and carry on after her heel became caught in her dress while doing the Argentine Tango in the semi-final of the BBC dancing comepetition.
The On the Farm host was performing her second dance of the night with professional partner, Gorka Marquez, when her heel got caught in her stunning blue sequin dress leaving the hem a bit frayed. The pair carried on with the dance and after it ended, host Tess Daly asked the celeb: " "Is your dress ok? I know it got caught a little bit in your heel."
It didn't seem to matter, though, as the duo went on to score 37 out of 40 from the judges, scoring a nine from Craig, 10 from Motsi and an eight from Shirley, while Anton awarded them 10.

Earlier in the show, which was live on Sundayrather than Saturday, thanks to the World Cup schedule, the judges were front and centre discussing the contestants and had a query about Helen's nerves. And it was during the frank conversation, that Motsi Mabuse asked: "But does she have control of her nerves?"
On a similar note, Shirley Ballas commented: "She needs to believe to achieve," before Helen and Gorka went on to score 35 for their waltz to Celine Dion hit Only One Road. Helen and Gorka scored 72 points overall during the semi-final, the results of which will be on TV on Monday, December 12, on BBC One, 8.15pm.
Fans of the show didn't seem to mind the heel catch, though, with one writing on Twitter: ""Helen and Gorka never fail to impress. What a lovely performance. Fighting for their place in that final." "Helen looks amazing, her dress is stunning!" Another said, as a second agreed: "Love, love, love Helen's dress."
"Helen looked stunning in that blue dress! It was a dramatic and intense Argentine Tango," a Strictly fan added.
