Strictly Come Dancing's Claudia Winkleman has revealed a sweet gesture that actor Will Mellor does after every dance with Nancy Xu. The presenter, who is currently wowing audiences on BBC's The Traitors, sat down with Tess Daly on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two to talk with Janette Manrara about their theories for the final.
When conversation turned to Two Pints of Lager star Will, Claudia told Janette: "Do you know what I love about Will though? Every time he finishes his dance he says thank you to Nancy.
"Every time. When he's standing with you [Tess], he says thank you Nancy," she continued. Over the weekend, Will broke down in tears after him and Nancy received their highest score of the series. The pair performed a Foxtrot to Sun And Moon from Miss Saigon and received a score of 39.
Elsewhere in the interview, Claudia and Tess gave their predictions for the series final. "We cannot call it, can we? It is anybody's guess. Everybody has topped the leaderboard, everybody has scored 10s. It is the closest we have ever had," said Tess, who has hosted the show since it first began in 2004.
She added: "Characterisation is great - especially when you bring it with the steps. Will is doing that." Claudia praised Molly and Helen and said: "Molly is a baby. She treats the dance off with aplomb. She comes back every week and does her best," before commenting on how Helen has "transformed" since she first started in the competition. "The pros are extraordinary. They are doing brilliantly. They look after the celebrities so well," Claudia added.
Strictly Come Dancing continues at 7.15pm on Sunday, December 11. The results show will then air at 8.15pm on Monday, December 12. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
