Strictly Come Dancing returned on Saturday, October 8 with Movie Week. The BBC competition kicked off with a dazzling display from the professional dancers.
The pros performed a magical opening number to We Don't Talk About Bruno from Disney's much-loved film Encanto. Viewers loved the "fun and brilliant" routine with many taking to social media to call the dance "amazing".
However, the song title wasn't lost on some, who pointed out that it was "awkward" given that Bruno Tonioli quit the show permanently as a judge earlier this year to focus on Dancing with the Stars, which is filmed in America. He has now been replaced by former professional dancer Anton Du Beke.

"The irony of not talking about Bruno on #Strictly lost on none of us," joked one viewer, as another added: "We Don't Talk About Bruno? Awkward. #Strictly"
And a third teased: "The #BBC #Strictly throwing shade at Bruno with the starting we don't talk about Bruno." While a fourth commented: "Slightly apt, we don’t talk about Bruno..? Bit harsh…"
However, following the routine presenter Claudia Winkleman addressed the song choice and joked to the studio audience and viewers at home. She said: "For the record we still talk about Bruno, all the time." She and Tess Daly then did a heart sign with their hands.
The celebrities and professionals have gone all out for Movie Week with performances and costumes inspired by The Little Mermaid, West Side Story, Jurrassic Park, The Lion King and Guardians of the Galaxy. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
