A co-star of Helen Skelton has issued a warning to the BBC about the 'wild' star after she was announced for Strictly Come Dancing. The Countryfile presenter was the 15th and final famous face confirmed for the dance contest with the 2022 series line-up now complete.
She joins a host of stars including former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, 80s music star Matt Goss and Paralympian Ellie Simmonds who will be taking to the dancefloor for the 20th series of the hot show when it returns this autumn. Helen's latest gig comes months after she confirmed her split from husband Richie Myler.
In a statement about taking part in the show after revealing the big news to Claudia Winkleman on her BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday (August 13), Helen said: "I’m really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can’t wait for me to get started."

Following the announcement, Helen's Summer On The Farm co-presenter Martin Hughes-Games has admitted that the BBC show may need to take extra precaution with the former Blue Peter star. He jokingly told The Sun: "Helen's a bit dodgy to work with. She's a safe pair of hands but has to be reined in a bit because she has a tendency to be a bit wild."
He also revealed that Helen had a special editor when they filmed Summer On The Farm who had to monitor her "naughty" language. The 66-year-old told the publication: "We have someone from Channel 5 compliance, on set in South Yorkshire, who tells her that she mustn't say too many naughty things. Although of course there's always the chance that she might."
The 'warning' from Martin comes after Helen seemingly 'confirmed' who her Strictly professional partner may be. The 39-year-old has got people talking after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Helen followed pro-dancer Neil Jones on social media over the weekend, with him returning the favour.
He was the only pro dancer in the show’s cast that Helen followed following the confirmation of her Strictly stint leading fans of the show to believe they will be partnered up this year. One person tweeted: "I've got a feeling Helen and Neil will be paired together." Another said: "Neil and Helen would make a great pairing."
Helen announced her split from her husband of nine years, Richie Myler, back in April. It came not long after welcoming their third child together. "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple," Helen wrote on social media. "He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."
The emotional message was accompanied with two broken heart emojis. The couple share daughter, Elsie Kate, born in December, and young sons Ernie and Louis. And last month, fans were thrilled to see the mum-of-three back on screen on Channel 5's Summer On The Farm which got off to a poignant start for the TV and radio star.
