Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin was forced to pull out of the opening night of the show's live tour at the last minute.
The professional dancer, who was partnered with Tilly Ramsay for the 2021 series, was due to perform with his dance partner in Birmingham on Thursday night.
The BBC One dance contest has headed out on the road for its 2022 live tour, taking in arenas across the country.
But Nikita will be absent for a string of shows after testing positive for coronavirus.
Posting to Instagram last night, the 23-year-old said: "So sad to be missing a portion of the Strictly Live Tour, but unfortunately, I tested Positive for COVID-19."
Sharing the post alongside a series of images, he added: "Lots of luck to all the amazing Strictly Cast.
"Will be back as soon as I can."
As well as a snap alongside Tilly from their Strictly journey last year, Nikita also shared photos of him in his hotel room of himself pulling a sad face and holding up his three positive Lateral Flow Tests.
But his Strictly co-stars were quickly showing their support.
Amy Dowden said: "Missing you ( pro group numbers) partner!!!! Rest up."
"Missing you bro. Get well ASAP," Cameron Lombard wrote.
Johannes Radebe added: "Miss you darling."
Tilly herself kept it simple, writing: "Missing you," with two red heard emojis.
And fans were also gutted for Nikita.
@sarah_j16 said: "Ohhh no!! I was looking forward to seeing you on Saturday afternoon. Get well soon."
"Nooo. Absolutely gutted. Wishing a speedy recovery. Hopefully I will see you in London as it’s the last show," @ hollyoaks.strictly.tns wrote.
@strictly_obsession commented: "Gutted for you Nikita. Wishing you the speediest of recoveries. Can’t wait to see you doing what you love as soon as you are able to."
"Noooo absolutely gutted, get better soon," @fowlersroadie added.
The rest of the show's stars still headed out onto the floor to put on a show at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
As well as Tilly, Rhys Stephenson, Sara Davies, John Whaite, and Rose Ayling-Ellis will also perform for the thousands heading to see the show.
They're also joined by 2020 alumni Max George and Maisie Smith as well as the Strictly cast of professional dancers.
The Strictly Come Dancing live tour will arrive in Manchester on January 29 for two shows at the AO Arena.
