BBC Strictly Come Dancing star's new arrivals announced as names of twins revealed

There has been some happy news for BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Matt Di Angelo. The former dance show contestant announced that his wife Sophia Perry had given birth to twins. He broke the news to fans via an Instagram post.

Sharing adorable pictures of the new arrivals, Matt, 35, wrote: My beautiful wife @sophiaperry has had two happy and healthy babies and begun raising them." He added: "I'm in the kitchen trying to work out the steriliser."

The former BBC EastEnders star revealed the babies names in the post too. He added: "Welcome to the world ***Raphael & Daphne*** My dynamic duo. *** 15/08/22*** ".

The proud dad, who was best known for playing Deano Wicks in the BBC soap, appeared on Strictly back in 2007. Partnered with Flavia Cacace, the pair scooped the runner-up prize behind Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon and Matthew Cutler.

Fellow stars, fans and followers soon responded to the post. Actor and Strictly contestant for 2022, Jimmy Bye, wrote: "Congratulations mate!! Gorgeous! Love to you all", alongside a heart emoji. I'm a Celebrity winner, Jacqueline Jossa, added: "Twins. Congrats guys!! Love this xxx"

Danny Hatchard, who played Lees Carter in EastEnders, joined in the comments writing: "Precious xxx", with fellow EastEnders actor, Danielle Harold, played Lola Pearce in the soap, adding: "Owwww I’m in love congratulations to you all",, with two heart emojis.

The comments continued. One person added: "Congratulations to you and Wonder Woman Sophia. What a gorgeous family you make! Beautiful Xx". Another said: "You're going to be the BEST dad!!! What beautiful names." While another said: "Best feeling ever mate we had boy and girl twins in 2015 good luck".
