BBC Strictly Come Dancing appears to have a new star for the 2022 series. Vito Coppola, who currently appears on Ballando con le Stelle - Italy’s version, has let slip that he's joining the BBC show for the next season.
It was during a live TV interview that he let the news slip and confirmed he would be moving over to the UK version, Birmingham Live reports.The Sun newspaper reports he said: "It was a sudden thing, I’m putting my ideas in order, but I’m happy and I can’t wait.
"[The BBC] were very fascinated by what we did at Ballando, they saw the videos, what we create. Thanks to you, Milly, and all the Ballando family, who have rooted for me."

The professional dancers already confirmed to be returning for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington and Nancy Xu.
