Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared her hospital dash while in Manchester.
The professional dancer was in the city for the hit BBC One show's live tour.
But Amy, 31, suffered a flare-up of her Crohn's, leaving her in the hospital and unable to perform on the Strictly tour.
The Welsh dancer shared the news on Instagram on Monday evening.
"Not quite the weekend performing in Manchester I was expecting," she wrote alongside two images.
"The one pic is me all ready to dance the following is literally a few hours later," she explained, with the second image showing her lying in a hospital bed with a cannula in her hand.
Amy continued: "Just want to help spread the awareness of hidden chronic illnesses. I know we get so many comments oh you look fine, on the outside yes, but not the inside.
"Comments why do you push yourself? Well, I wouldn’t do anything in life if I spent the whole time worrying if I might get a flare up. I’ve always said it won’t define me!
"To me, my condition is at its cruellest when it takes me away from my biggest passion, dancing!"
Amy was then full of praise for her Strictly co-stars and for the care and support she has received.
"I can’t thank my fellow cast enough… it certainly helps to have some strapping male dancers there to help carry you too. I love you all!
"To the entire @strictlycomedancinglive team, thank you!Thank you for the Incredible care I received in Manchester hospital and biggest thanks to all the fans who have sent such beautiful messages, I’m so sorry for not being able to perform for you!"
The dancing star finished her post with a positive update.
"I’m feeling SO MUCH BETTER and I’ll be back dancing with the gang, living the dream before you know it," she said.
"Lots of Welsh love #chronicillness #raisewareness."
Amy was quickly flooded with support from her co-stars and fans.
Gorka Marquez, who headed to see the show at Manchester's AO Arena, said: "Sending you lots of love."
"You are incredible and the strongest person I know, I can’t wait to dance with you again," Neil Jones wrote.
Nancy Xu, who has been reunited with Rhys Stephenson on the tour, commented: "Baby girl I'm very proud of you. Can't wait to have you back."
@eddo_official said: "Sending you all of my love amy. You are so strong and you continue to inspire so many daily."
"Bless you sweetheart, hope you are soon back to feeling your self again. You are an inspiration to many," @nanny.anndavis wrote.
Fan page @amydowden__ added: "You’re such an inspiration amy always. Take care of yourself, hoping you get to perform on stage doing what you love again asap!! sending all the well wishes and love right now."
It comes a couple of months after Amy was last hospitalised following a Chron's flare-up.
At the end of November, Amy was out on a walk with her Strictly 2021 dance partner Tom Fletcher and fellow Strictly contestant Sara Davies when an ambulance had to be called.
Amy, who won a Welsh BAFTA for her documentary on the condition, was then cared for by the McFly singer and his wife Giovanna.
Giovanni explained that due to everyone in Strictly being in bubbles the professional dancer couldn't travel to the Midlands or Wales so stayed with the family while Amy's husband, Ben Jones, was working away from home.
