Tyler West looked like he couldn't possibly sweat anymore as he admitted to being in a 'bad way' in a video posted by his Strictly Come Dancing partner Dianne Buswell. The pair have been hard at work in the training room this week ahead of their next performance on Saturday night.
The Kiss FM DJ and his professional dance partner have been impressing the judges and viewers with their moves week in, week out. Last weekend, during the BBC One dance contest's Halloween special, looked fantastic as they took to the ballroom for their Beetlejuice-inspired cha cha cha.
Tyler and Dianne topped the leaderboard alongside comedian and actress Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe after being rewarded 35 points out of a possible 40.
The pair, who danced to Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) by Klaus Hallen Tanz Orchester, received the only 10 of the show from Anton Du Beke who told them: "The cha cha cha is a revolting dance to do well. Let me tell you, I thought that was brilliant. That’s one of the best cha cha chas I’ve seen on Strictly Come Dancing."
Prior to their appearance in the ballroom, Tyler sent fans wild as he showed off his first Halloween makeover of 2022. He showed it's not all work and no play as the radio star headed to Kiss FM's Haunted House Party at the OVO Arena Wembley with Dianne. And the dancing couple didn't disappoint with their costumes as Tyler, 26, and Dianne, 33, arrived at the star-studded event channelling members of the Addams Family.
Donning a pinstripe suit and the character's trademark moustache, Tyler appeared as Addams Family patriarch Gomez Addams, whilst Dianne channelled Morticia Addams, swapping her vibrant red locks for a black wig, matched with a figure-hugging black gown that featured a daring thigh-high split.
She opted for a heavy makeup palette, including a black smoky eye but added a bright red lipstick matching the bunch of red roses she was gripping onto as she posed with her dance partner. Posting a picture of the pair on his Instagram page as well as a video of them on stage at the event, Tyler wrote: "KISS HAUNTED HOUSE PARTY 22'."
But this week it was back to work and this weekend Strictly fans will see Tyler and Dianne performing a romantic Viennese Waltz to I’ve Been Loving You Too Long by Seal. And while the dance may seemingly be slower than last week's energetic routine, it appears that Tyler is getting just as worn out in training.
Dianne took to her Instagram Story to share a video of Tyler taking a breather and getting some air by leaning up against an open window. "Can you see the steam coming off my head?" he asked his dance partner. Tyler could be seen dripping with sweat as he donned a black t-shirt and grey jogging bottoms in rehearsals.
"I'm in a bad way," he admitted before saying: "This is so cool," as the steam continued to come off his body as it met the cold air flowing through the window. "This is the Viennese waltz... every week you sweat," Dianne could be heard saying behind the camera before adding: "A lot!"
Tyler replied: "I think the dance might get less sweaty but actually, I'm in a bad, bad way." As he sighed, Dianne said: "That's hilarious. Are you ready for the Viennese Waltz Tyler?" to which he replied: "Do I look ready?" before agreeing his was ready to go again. Alongside the clip, Dianne typed: "This guy has worked sooooo hard this week!!!"
Earlier this week, Tyler and Dianne took a break from training to pay a visit to see Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show. But as well as talking about the dancing, Lorraine voiced her surprise at Tyler's relationship status when he appeared on her show and was soon quizzing him on any love interests.
"Now look, you're a beautiful young man I think we can all agree on that," the Scottish TV star said before Tyler interjected with: "No, Lorraine just called me a beautiful man, I can't do that this morning, this is mad!" She then added: "First of all I can't believe you're still single, that's ridiculous, but you're concentrating on your dancing and there's no time for that malarky.
"That's all well and good but maybe afterwards?" Tyler agreed: "No, no, there's no time for any of that. Spending time with yourself and have the best time right now." At the end of the interview, Lorraine could not help but bring the matter up again as she added: "Keep doing what you're doing but I cannot believe you're single it is ridiculous," to which Tyler laughed off the comment again and replied: "Don't you start, don't! Thank you, Lorraine."
