BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Molly Rainford denies backstage romance rumours

Rumours have been swirling of Strictly Come Dancing romances involving Molly Rainford, but the CBBC star has insisted there is no love interest among the cast this year. The singer and actress, who plays the main character in Nova Jones, has been romantically linked in with both professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin and then fellow celebrity Tyler West in recent weeks.

But the 21-year-old, who has previously spoken about staying away from dating as she wants to focus on her career, has insisted the infamous Strictly curse hasn't struck the cast of the BBC dance competition this year. Molly said the group are "very boring" in terms of backstage romances and the close bonds among the co-stars has been mistaken for love interest, reports the Mirror.

The former Britain's Got Talent finalist was quoted as saying: "It's so funny because everyone gets asked, 'oh what's the gossip? Who doesn't get on'' and I say, 'honestly it's everything they say about the Strictly family, we all get on really well'."

Speaking to Mail Online, Molly continued: "I just think it's so random, I love how people try to find it when it's not happening, it is quite funny, I think maybe because we get on so well they mistake for something else but it's genuinely that everyone is really really good friends." She added :"No! We're a very boring series in that respect!" when asked about backstage romances.

During a recent appearance on Lorraine with his pro partner Dianne Buswell, radio presenter Tyler also denied there were any romances behind the scenes on Strictly, after claims of flirty behaviour between him and Molly. It came after Molly had shot down earlier Strictly romance links, amid rumours about her and Nikita, when she appeared on Good Morning Britain with her pro partner Carlos Gu.
