She's already admitted that her brain and feet are on fire from training for Strictly Come Dancing but it appears Helen Skelton is also enduring a bit of stress at home. The TV star has been keeping her social media followers updated with her progress during week two of rehearsals for the dance contest.
Helen is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the 20th series of the BBC One show and last Friday, she, and viewers, were delighted to discover that she had been partnered with Gorka Marquez.
Then on Saturday, the new pairing made their debut in the ballroom with their first performance being an American Smooth to Aretha Franklin's You Send Me, which saw them awarded a score of 26 by the judges - Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.
Earlier this week, Countryfile host Helen took to Instagram with a picture of shoe-less feet in the training room with a hint of her purple gym leggings peeking through. "And the aim of the game is to be sexy..." she wrote over the image. "Not with these trotters #NoPainNoGain."
And it's not just pain in Helen's feet as she also appears to have a pain in the form of Gorka being a bit of a prankster. Posting a smiling selfie of the pair on Instagram, Helen said: " Feet on fire and head exploding but loving every second of this journey…."
She then went on to say, including a video of the Spanish dancer's antics: "Somehow @gorka_marquez finding time to prank everyone - thank god there’s room laugh." She added: "It’s been a big old week of training so far and still a lot to do ….. here’s to the feet and hips doing what the boss says."
On Wednesday night (September 28), Helen returned to social media with a video of Gorka, 34, getting into an unusual space for a stretch while Helen asked: "You okay, mate?" As he grounded, Helen laughed, showing herself in the mirror in her dancing shoes. "You need a new back and I need new feet."
As she showed off her blistered feet, the mum-of-three could be heard saying: "Jesus Christ!" But the stress, it seems continued as she later posted a picture of a Monopoly board. "I thought learning a Cha Cha in three days was stressful," she typed. She then added: "I was wrong. Playing monopoly with a competitive 7 and 5 year old is."
It has since been revealed that the pair will be performing a Cha Cha Cha to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's track 'Rain On Me' this Saturday with the show seeing the public vote open for the first time before the first elimination on Sunday night. According to the bookies latest odds, Will Mellor is favorite to win after coming joint top of the leaderboard last weekend.
He is followed closely by Helen and Fleur East, who is partnered with new professional dancer Vito Coppola. Meanwhile, Hamza Yassin, was down as an outsider before taking to the dancefloor last weekend, and having previously seen his odds cut to just 14/1, the bookies now have Yassin priced at 8/1.
