Gorka Marquez sent a simple yet sweet message to Helen Skelton after they made it through to another week on Strictly Come Dancing. The presenter channelled a sparkling Little Red Riding Hood while Gorka immersed himself into the role of the wolf during the BBC One dance contest's Halloween special.
Helen and Gorka scored an impressive 32 for their Foxtrot to Lil’ Red Riding Hood by Sam The Sham and The Pharaohs on Saturday night, with Motsi Mabuse giving the pair the highest praise. “I honestly have to say I adore watching you dance," she told Helen, 39. "I see you getting stronger and stronger… I know it’s quite early but you are giving me some final vibes."
Responding to the comment, head judge Shirley Ballas told the couple: "Slow and steady always wins the race, I think you are giving us a bit of your soul week after week. You are on the right track."
And on Sunday night it was revealed that Helen and Gorka will be appearing in week seven of the hit dance competition following the public vote. However, it did come down to the wire as despite host Tess Daly telling the couples they're called out in no particular order, the pair were left until the very end when it was revealed Fleur and Vito would be in the dance-off.
"What a week!!!!" Helen shared alongside a reel featuring various pictures from the special episode and behind-the-scenes. "Thank you for getting us to Halloween and keeping us in again!!!" she added before heaping praise. "@lisadaveyhair @hollylouisehmua @vickygilldesign thanks for making us look and feel fab.
"@gorka_marquez thanks for the fox trot of dreams. Screengrab especially for @elliejanetaylor who tries so hard to help me with the acting /faces….. can't do scared or tense but will keep trying for you Ellie #ISTHATIT?!" And upon seeing this sweet post, Gorka gushed: "So proud of you partner!!!" before adding clapping hands and blue heart emojis in the comments section.
Gorka also another message alongside a picture of the pair all Halloween-ready for their performance. The Spanish dancer said the results show had gotten 'a bit scary' before heaping praise on Helen.
"That got a bit scary… " he typed. Thank you to everyone who voted for us to stay in the competition. Your love and support means the world to us! So grateful to dance for another week with @helenskelton. Week 7 here we come!!! @bbcstrictly." And fans were quick to echo each other's comments in the comment section.
