Gorka Marquez appeared mortified after he made a mistake during a coffee break with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Helen Skelton. The pair have been spending recent days preparing for week three of the competition after avoiding the first dance-off of the BBC One series last weekend.
This weekend it's Movie Week in the ballroom and Gorka and Helen will be paying an emotional tribute as they perform a Viennese Waltz to 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' from Grease. And while the pair are clearly working hard, they still had time for a break but it turned into an embarrassing moment for Gorka.
Helen, 39, took to her Instagram Story to speak to her thousands of followers about their encounter while out grabbing a coffee. Appearing in a grey t-shirt under a light grey jacket and a black baseball cap with gold hooped earrings, the Countryfile host said: "So we're sitting having a coffee and I said to Gorka, 'Can you send me those pictures from last week?'"
Gorka then appeared in the shot with his hand over his mouth after being seen posing for selfies with fellow customers in the shop. "He did send them but not to me, he just sent them to the lady sat over there."
Explaining how, Helen said he was using Apple's AirDrop which sent them to the nearest phone - which wasn't Helen's. "I thought it was your phone," Gorka, 34, could be heard saying before Helen shared a video showing the immediate moments after Gorka sent their pictures to the wrong person.
Mum-of-three Helen could be heard laughing from behind the camera as she showed Gorka who tried hiding himself in his jumper. "Can you just show me what he just sent you?" Helen asked the lady next to them in the shop. Showing her phone, the picture saw Helen and Gorka looking glam in their dazzling outfits from last Saturday night's performance as they beamed for the camera.
As Helen returned to be with Gorka, the dad-of-one again put his head in his hands as he said: "Thank goodness it was the dance pictures and the video." His celebrity dance partner wrote alongside the clip: "Wow... careful where you AirDrop kids... @gorka_marquez this lovely lady thanked us for sending pics of ourselves to her unprompted."
They then headed off the training but it sounds like the day wasn't getting much better for the dancing pair. "I'm in the studio and we're having a great day... the dance is going incredible. We're having such a good time dancing and rehearsing it." But it didn't start well. "I had a flat tire this morning," Gorka said before Helen admitted she had got three parking tickets in a week.
"I thought I had paid on the app and I have paid for parking... at the wrong car park," Helen explained. "So, I have paid for my parking but not where my car is parked. So that's three tickets, in one week." Gorka added: "What's funny is she got in the same day, in the same car park, two tickets!"
He then asked, baffled: "How is that even possible?" Helen shared Gorka's video to her own Instagram Story and commented: "Morale of the story, buy a physical ticket don't use the app if you're 100 like me."
