A live show means that there is no hiding when it comes to a slip-up and unfortunately Claudia Winkleman suffered an unwanted blunder in the closing moments of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday, October 1.
Claudia is a stalwart of the BBC presenting team on the show, taking her place alongside Tess Daly. The two hosts were back at the helm this weekend for the second of this year's Strictly live shows, as 15 couples faced judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
After everyone kept their place in week one, the stakes were raised this week and one couple was destined to leave the show. In a reversal of fortunes, Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice quick stepped up the rankings while bookies' favourite Will Mellor suffered a setback as his scores plummeted from 34 last week to 26, after his salsa was littered with a few too many mistakes.

CBBC star Molly Rainford and pro partner Carlos brought in a routine to Beyonce's smash Love on Top to bring the show to a close. Meanwhile Claudia and Tess got ready to re-cap the scores, before gearing up to deliver a final link to camera.
However, according to Chronicle Live things didn't go quite to plan after Claudia stumbled on her words. She began: "One of our couples will be leaving this weekend. If you don't want to lose your favourite, please make sure you vote by 10 past 9."
Tess than said her bit, telling viewers to be sure to tune in to Sunday's results show on BBC One. It was then back to Claudia but she got completely muddled up when she tried to say: "We'll also have performances," before mumbling and quickly correcting herself to add: "Performances even from Robbie Williams and a brilliant group dance from our professionals."
Claudia wasn't the only one to suffer a slip up during Saturday's Strictly. Head judge Shirley Ballas was slow to react to a question from Tess at the start of the show, before admitting there'd been a 'hitch' later in the programme.
Strictly Come Dancing returns live at 6:30pm on Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
