BBC Strictly Come Dancing professional apologises over 'rude' slip-up

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell had to make a quick on-air apology for an unfortunate slip-up on Saturday night, November 5. The star had just completed a Viennese Waltz to Seal's 'I've Been Loving you Too Long' with partner Tyler West.

The pair was awarded a score of 29 out of 40 for their performance, Birmingham Live reports. Head judge Shirley Ballas said that the pair had "too much incorrect footwork" although she liked the delivery of their expression.

Anton Du Beke agreed saying Tyler was falling over his feet a bit and his topline wasn’t right. Craig Revel Horwood also thought it was a bit pedestrian.

As Dianne and Tyler headed backstage to Claudia Winkleman to get the scores, Dianne gave viewers a bit too much information about their rehearsals. She said: "A significant height difference. It can be a little struggle sometimes. I'm always going between his legs."

Realising what she had said, Dianne looked horrified as she spluttered: " I shouldn't have said that, sorry!" Claudia quickly moved the show on as she replied: "That's something else."

Viewers were earlier annoyed as Shirley appeared to get Dianne's name wrong for the second time this series. The head judge could be heard saying Diana instead of Dianne as she gave her comments.
