BBC Strictly Come Dancing: Matt Goss has viewers in 'tears' as he leaves competition

On Sunday night (October 16) millions sat down to watch another episode of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing with another couple facing elimination.

This week a third couple were set to leave the TV show with the competition getting tougher.

But it seems one couple weren't ready to go home - and viewers didn't want them to either.

Sadly Bros singer Matt Goss and his partner Nadiya Bychkova left the show after the judges chose to save Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima in the dreaded dance-off, which aired on BBC One.

Despite getting praised from the judges, it was the other couple who had the technical ability with many people at home saddened by the result.

The star opened up on his mental health and how living with Poland syndrome has affected him revealing he used to cover his chest but will now no longer to that. Poland syndrome is said to be a rare disorder in which affected individuals are born with missing or underdeveloped muscles on one side of the body, resulting in abnormalities that can affect the chest, shoulder, arm, and hand.

Speaking before his exit, the Bros singer said that he still is a shy person but since joining she show he has come out of his shell adding: "It's an extraordinary experience. I've lived in America for 25 years and to be on Strictly. Thank you judges. for your candour and you've helped me in many ways.

"My posture, Anton, I'm more aware of it. And this lovely lady beside me world champion and her patience. I'm very honoured to have danced with you."

Dance partner Nadiya then added: "I'm so grateful that I got to teach and dance with a music icon but more important is I got the privilege to Matt for who you really are. Not many people know you" as Matt teared up.

Taking to Twitter after the results were revealed one said: "Matt Goss comes over as a genuinely decent guy. So what if he’s not a great dancer, he’s better than most of us and deserves some respect."

Another added: "Sad to see Matt Goss go I think he had more to give. He came across as a very shy man with a kind heart. I think this was a big step outside of his comfort zone so good for him. I hope he enjoys life back in the UK."

"I think the British public have fallen in love with Matt Goss over the past few weeks. What a lovely, lovely man #Strictly" commented a third.

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday at 6:40pm for its BBC 100 Special on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with the result at 6:45pm on Sunday.
