BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans worried for Giovanni Pernice after posting new photo

Strictly Come Dancing fans are concerned for professional dancer Giovanni Pernice as he posted a photo showing off his new haircut. The reigning champion of the hit BBC show revealed he had gone grey in a new post to fans on Instagram.

But while most commented on his fresh hairdo, others were worried he had lost a lot of weight recently. Fans of the Italian stallion urged the star to take care of himself, BirminghamLive reports.

A concerned ann.butcher40 wrote: "Hi Giovanni handsome and always with a smile constantly on the go you definitely have slimmed down take time for rest. Good luck to you and Rose for the BAFTA."

Podgehole agreed: "Giovanni. Four great photos Dapper as usual. Lovely smile. Can see you have lost weight, particularly facially. Guess it’s the hectic work load. Do Take care."

Giovanni and his last Strictly partner Rose Ayling-Ellis are nominated for "TV Moment" at the BAFTAs for their incredible silent dance. They stopped in the middle of their couple's choice dance on the show to dance in complete silence as a symbol of what it is like to be deaf.

Speaking at the RTS Awards, Rose said of the nomination:"It’s nice to be recognised in that way and I think it’s really important. It was a dance for the whole deaf community. It’s a dance to raise so much awareness, it’s a dance that makes an impact."

The Bafta TV Awards are on May 8.
