Strictly Come Dancing fans were left with the same complaint as they spotted an issue with the routines for this weekend's final. Following last weekend's semi-final it was decided that Helen Skelton, Hamza Yassin, Fleur East and Molly Rainford had made it to the last four of the BBC dance competition.
They will therefore return to the ballroom for one last time on Saturday night (December 17) as they got head-to-head in a bid to lift the Glitterball trophy just in time for Christmas. And all four couples have a challenge on their hands as they're expected to perform three routines each.
It was revealed earlier this week that after making it through to the final following their fourth time in the dreaded dance-off, singer and radio DJ Fleur and her partner Vito Coppola will perform a samba to Hot Hot Hot by Arrow as their judges’ pick. Their favourite dance will also be their couple’s choice routine, performed to a Destiny’s Child megamix by Destiny’s Child, which scored a perfect 40 in Blackpool, followed by their show dance to Find Me by Sigma featuring Birdy.

TV presenter Helen and her professional partner Gorka Marquez will perform their jive to Tightrope by Janelle Monae at the request of the judges and have chosen their couple's choice routine to Mein Herr by Liza Minnelli (from Cabaret) as their faovurite routine of the series. And finally their show dance to Shine by Emeli Sande.
CBBC star and singer Molly, 22, and her partner Carlos Gu will perform a quickstep to Love On Top by Beyonce as their judges’ pick, their rumba to All The Man That I Need by Whitney Houston as their favourite and finish with a show dance to a mix of Kiss and 1999 – both by Prince.
And last, but by no means least, Wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza, who topped the leader board with his partner Jowita Przystal in the live semi-final on Sunday, has been requested to perform his salsa to Ecuador by Sash! featuring Rodriguez by the judges.
He will also perform his and Przystal’s couple’s choice to Jerusalema Remix by Master KG featuring Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode, as well as a show dance to Let’s Face The Music And Dance by Irving Berlin.
But as Strictly fans got their first idea of what to expect this weekend, they couldn't help but realise that three out of the four couples are performing their couple's choice routine - and they weren't too happy about it due to the final showdance being a similar style of routine.
@mpj2829 said: "So we're basically getting 7 showdances... They shouldn't be allowed to do couples choice in the final. I might vote for Molly on the basis that she's the only one actually doing two proper dances." @fromkelltobell wrote: "Couples choice shouldn’t even be an option! It should be about showing the growth within ballroom and Latin - they are far too similar to show dance!! This is really disappointing and is probably going to make for a really disappointing final."
@tanya.withers.165 commented: "Couples choice shouldn't be option for final. They get to do a showdance." @_tonymaroni echoed: "Couple’s choice should be EXCLUDED from the finals." @KayHappy50 tweeted: "Re:strictly final - I don’t think they should be allowed to do their couples choice again in the final, it’s like doing two show dances, they should be made to choose one of the traditional dances - Molly is the only one doing this and it puts her at a disadvantage. #Strictly."
@mrsfayesmith added: "There should be more Ballroom and Latin dances in the final. I am totally here for the Showdances but no need for so many Couple’s Choice. Surely we’re losing the essence of the show here?! #StrictlyComeDancing2022 #Strictly." And it comes after fans demanded that couple's choice routines be confined to one week.
@Channn_xo tweeted: "Think strictly should do a couples choice week not take it in turns #Strictly." @theproperKP said: "Dear @bbcstrictly Can you please do everyone a favour and have a specific "couples choice week" on #strictly? How can you judge a street dance v a dance with regimented dance steps??" @birstallboi added: "With only a couple of notable exceptions couples choice dances are pretty rubbish. I’d scrap them personally or have a themed week where they all do them on the same night #Strictly."
