BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'so happy' as one big part returns to normal

Strictly Come Dancing fans are chuffed after seeing one element of the show return for the first time since 2019. After the Covid-19 pandemic safety measures took over for the past two series in 2020 and 2021, the line-up of celebrities and professionals have not been able to get up on the dancefloor and comfort the couple exiting at the end of the results show.

But now, the ending is back to how it should be, with the departing couple mobbed by colleagues as they leave the competition. In the first results show, viewers saw Loose Woman Kaye Adams and dance partner, Kai Widdrington voted off the show following a dance-off with Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova.

Following their Charleston, Kaye and Kai saw three of the four judges vote to save the Bros singer and Nadiya, with Shirley Ballas revealing she would have saved the TV presenter and journalist. Viewers were happy to see the leaving couple get comforted by the gang of fellow celebrities with one writing: "Aww. Isn’t it nice seeing everyone able to mob the leaving pair again?" Wren tweeted: "awwwwwww they can all do the big group hug again <3 i really missed that." Another wrote: "the group huddles are back in [sic] so happy."

Amy tweeted: "Yes I am crying at the big group hug at the end! Can't tell you how much I've missed seeing that."

The group hug being back, post-Covid, isn't the only element of Strictly that has seen a welcome return, there's now a full studio audience and the show will be back at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday, November 19, the first visit there since 2019.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One next weekend.
