BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans made a demand to show bosses following Tony Adams's "quivering quickstep".
The former England footballer danced to The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band. Opening the Halloween TV special dressed as the devil, Tony and his professional partner Katya Jones "shocked" the judges with their performance.
Judge Anton Du Beke - dubbed "Phantom Du Beke" for the night - said: "You are unrecognisable. It is very easy to get stuck in a situation perceived to not be the best dancer on the show doing tricks. Don't worry, I have been down that road. But that's not you. You are a proper dancer, this was a proper dance. Keep it up, I loved it."

Head judge Shirley Ballas said: "I'm absolutely in shock. Your footwork was lovely and light. You kept a lovely frame, you have absolutely shocked me."
Craig Revel Horwood, dressed as Morticia Addams, said: "Welcome to the ballroom, darling. Style, story, technique - I think you've actually found your dance, brilliant."
However, viewers were quick to complain on Twitter about the audience's clapping, which was out of time with the beat of the song.
Natalie said: "I hate audiences clapping along, it's so irritating! #strictly." Caitlin said: "Surely the clapping is off-putting."
Michael said: "Audience clappin' well out of time again! SHUT IT!" And Amy said: "Can we ban the audience from clapping along on #Strictly ?! They’re so often offbeat, it’s distracting & drowns the singers."
Despite this, Tony received his highest score of 31.
