Strictly Come Dancing fans have discovered what the remaining 14 couples will be dancing to this weekend as a show favourite returns. This Saturday night (October 8) it'll be all about lights, camera, action as movie week arrives in the ballroom.
The first themed episode of the BBC One dance contest's 20th series will see the likes of The Lion King, Top Gun: Maverick and Guardians of the Galaxy brought to life on the small screen.
Ellie Simmons and Nikita Kuzmin will dance a quickstep to Peppy and George from the film The Artist, Tyler West and Dianne Buswell will perform a charleston to Flash, Bang, Wallop! from Half A Sixpence and Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima- will also attempt their best charleston to If My Friends Could See Me Now from Sweet Charity.
Following an energetic start to the competition, Will Mellor and his partner Nancy Xu will perform an American Smooth to Cry To Me from the film Dirty Dancing and F leur East and Vito Coppalo give the same dance a go but to Part of Your World from the film The Little Mermaid.
There will also be triple cha chas as James Bye and Amy Dowden dance to Hooked on a Feeling from the film Guardians of the Galaxy, Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe to The Shoop Shoop Song from Mermaids and Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer who will dance to What a Feeling from the film Flashdance.
After facing the dance-off last weekend, Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova will dance a Viennese Waltz to Hold My Hand from the film Top Gun: Maverick as Helen Skelton and Gorka Márquez will perform the same dance but to 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' from Grease. H amza Yassin and Jowita Przystal will give the first r umba of the series to the theme tune of the film Jurassic Park and Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu will perform a waltz to One Hand, One Heart from the film West Side Story.
Tony Adams and Katya Jones will dance a s amba to You Sexy Thing from the film The Full Monty and last, but by no means least, Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice will also be performing a samba but to Hakuna Matata from Disney favourite The Lion King.
The latest routines were revealed on Strictly's official social media channels and fans of the show were quick to comment after being left furious by one of the couple's notoriously difficult dance choice and song.
@am_a_na.banana said: "Uuuuummmm a rhumba to jurassic park?!! How the hell does that work?!! Some of these song choices are rubbish!" @dizsaidwhat commented: "Jeeez the Rumba to Jurassic Park!? Has there ever been a more blatant we want you gone." @cfs123sportz wrote: "Week 3 rumba for Hamza is a bit unfair."
@gem_tops shared: "I know everybody else is puzzled by how anyone can do a rumba to jurassic Park...." @bowz4bows echoed: "How on earth can you do a rumba to Jurassic park theme song." @andrea.grimes2022 posted: "Rumba............to the theme from Jurassic Park........is that a wind up??" @imogenalanah_ added: "Rumba?! To the Jurassic park theme?! Done hamza dirty."
During week one of the show, wildlife cameraman Hamza and pro partner Jowita Przystal dazzled with their beautifully joyful foxtrot to Islands In The Stream by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers to secure their top mark and joint place at top of the leaderboard with Will and Nancy. However, last week, their score slipped received a more subdued score of 24 points for their jive.
