Strictly Come Dancing fans have waited a whole nine days for their latest dance fix and just seconds in they admitted to being 'nervous' for one specific reason. The semi-final of the BBC One dance contest aired on Sunday night (December 11) after it was moved from its usual primetime Saturday night slot.
Because of the football, the hit show has been moved two weeks in a row. And the penultimate week in the competition was bumped to 24 hours later than usual as England faced France in their quarter-final match in the World Cup. But as the Three Lions suffered heartbreak, fans would be forgiven for wanting some light relief in the form of dance moves and plenty of sparkles.
The change in schedule, however, does still mean that Strictly fans have to wait 24 hours for the results as instead of Sunday, these will air on Monday (December 12) in a show first.

But just seconds into co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman appearing on screen to introduce the semi-final, which saw the couples perform twice in a bid to secure their place in the final, Strictly viewers admitted to being nervous as they predicted the dreaded dance-off results.
@sianreed93 tweeted: "Let’s face it, it’ll probably be a Molly-Fleur dance off unless one of the other three falls on their face. They’re less popular with the viewers, not saying I agree though! #Strictly." @ShaunKitchener said: "Already nervous for the Molly v Fleur dance-off #strictly."
@giraffehk wrote: "#strictly sooo…. Fleur and Molly destined for the dance off before they’ve even danced." @bettyredondo commented: "Looking forward to this semi final but also know it will predictably result in a Molly / Fleur dance off which is just so depressing #strictly." @_AaronL__ added: "Much as I hate to say it no matter the scoring tonight or how well they do ..Going on track record it’s inevitable that it’s going to be Molly vs Fleur in b2 tonight :( #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."
Fleur and Vito, who have faced being in the bottom two three times throughout the time in the competition, kicked off the semi-final with a Paso Doble to The Time Is Now by Moloko. The singer and radio host, who is the only celebrity in the competition to have scored a full house, scored 35 for their first routine of the night with Anton Du Beke getting out his 10 paddle.
