BBC Strictly Come Dancing confirms 2023 professionals as one quits show

A Strictly Come Dancing professional has quit the show after the BBC confirmed its line-up for the 2023 series.

Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in autumn with presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman overseeing proceedings each weekend as a host of new celebrity contestants take to the floor.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will return as judges.

Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola have all been confirmed as professional dancers for 2023.

But Cameron Lombard, who has appeared in the past two series of Strictly, will not be part of this year's show. Confirming his exit on Instagram, he said: "The last two years have been a blast.

"Thank you @bbcstrictly for the life-changing opportunity and for the best experience anyone could wish for, I will forever be grateful and I’ve loved every minute, danced on the world's biggest stages, met the world's best fans, performed for thousands of people as well as millions watching around the world and have made friends for life that I’ll cherish forever.

"I can’t wait to share with you some exciting future projects and plans, See you in the movies."
