The BBC daytime TV schedule is undergoing a major shake-up amid coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games coverage.
The major sporting event began on Friday and will continue until the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 11.
To accommodate the Olympics, BBC Breakfast, which usually airs from 6am to 9:30am on BBC One, will see several episodes shortened.
The show will still start at 6am live from the MediaCityUK studio but will experience unusual shifts in its timeslot.
On Monday, the show aired for just two hours from 6am to 8am, and this schedule will repeat on Thursday, August 1, and Friday, August 2, followed by Olympics coverage until 1pm. However, the episodes on Tuesday, July 29, and Wednesday, July 30, will be drastically reduced to only 45 minutes each.
Additionally, popular shows Bargain Hunt and Homes Under the Hammer will be temporarily moved to BBC Two for the next week. This follows recent schedule disruptions, including the temporary disappearance of The One Show earlier this month.
Hosts Alex Jones, Roman Kemp, Jermaine Jenas, and Ronan Keating will take a short break while the Olympics air.
At the end of their last episode, Kemp told viewers: "Thanks so much to Katy Perry. Enjoy the Olympics, see you on the 12th August!"
The One Show will return on Monday, August 12 after the Olympics coverage concludes.
Men’s synchronised 10m platform final and women's 400m individual medley final are just some of the events viewers can watch on the broadcaster on Monday.
BBC is broadcasting two live streams of the action for the duration of the Games. This will be on BBC One, BBC Two or a stream available by clicking the red button on Freeview or a smart TV.
There is reduced coverage compared with previous years, however, when BBC broadcasted everything from archery to wrestling live on its website or channels. Instead, Discovery+ is the rights holder for Paris 2024 and is showing every moment across Eurosport channels in the UK from 7am-10.30pm every day.
