DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles has confessed to an interesting choice of pancake topping. The presenter, 60, divulged the information during an appearance on BBC's The One Show on Tuesday, February 21.
"Nick, many people right now will be tucking into their pancakes as it's Pancake Day, of course, but I hear you break from the traditional lemon and sugar?" quizzed host Lauren Laverne.
"Yes, gravy," Nick simply replied as some of the studio members gasped. "It's a big call, I know," he added before fellow guest Rita Wilson called his choice "bold".

As to why he chooses that particular topping, Nick said: "If you think about it, it's the same recipe as the batter base for a Yorkshire pudding so it's only a flat Yorkshire pudding." Host Jermaine then replied: "I don't know if people are going to see it that way if I'm honest but we move on."
"There's a psychological barrier that I just can't get past," Lauren added. And it would seem those in The One Show's studio weren't the only ones divided by the topping choice, as viewers at home also shared their thoughts.
"Nick Knowles putting gravy on his pancakes because they're like Yorkshire puds... Absolute genius, what a hero," wrote one fan, as another said of the unusual topping: "Nick Knowles has just said on The One Show that he has gravy on his."
"No no no it's honey and lemon for me," commented a third. Elsewhere in the interview, Nick discussed his new Channel 5 show, Into the Grand Canyon.
In the series, Nick kayaks in the mighty Colorado River, hikes through the spectacular Vermilion Cliffs and sees a conservation breeding programme at work that is successfully bringing back endangered condors to the Canyon.
