BBC's The Apprentice final 2022: Who are the finalists and what are their businesses?

The Apprentice 2022 final is officially here and only two contestants remain in the competition after successfully getting through the dreaded interview stage, in which Claude Littner returned. You can read more on this here.

Series 16 of the popular BBC One show saw 16 new candidates join the programme with the hope of winning Lord Sugar's approval and £250,000 investment in their business. Now only Kathryn Burn and Harpreet Kaur are left in the running.

The final episode of the 2022 series, which airs at 9pm on Thursday, March 24, will see this year's fired candidates return to help Kathryn and Harpreet launch their companies over an intensive three-day challenge. As usual, it will include creating branding, a billboard campaign and shooting an advert.

Kathryn and Harpreet must then pitch to Lord Sugar and a room full of industry experts. Here's what you need to know.

Who are The Apprentice finalists?

Harpreet Kaur

Harpreet Kaur (PA)

The 30-year-old is the owner of a dessert parlour Barni's Desserts and describes herself as a born leader, fearless and funny. Harpreet wants to "level up" her successful, six-figure coffee and cakes business to become a leading brand in the UK.

Harpreet runs and co-owns the business with her sister, which caused concern for Lord Sugar's aide Claude during the interview stage. Harpreet was later grilled in the boardroom about the undeclared partnership.

Kathryn Burn

Kathryn Louise Burn (PA)

The 29-year-old from Swindon is also hoping to become this year's champion. Kathryn's business plan is for her online pyjama store, My Everyday Pyjamas, which offers families and their pets matching pyjamas.

Kathryn describes herself as ambitious, kind, and often "savage". She has previously worked as an events manager and a mortgage advisor.

In the interview stages Kathryn was quizzed by Linda Plant who questioned Kathryn on her design expertise and whether she had designed the prints herself. Kathryn was forced to admit she hadn't, as stated on her application.

Both Harpreet and Kathryn plan to use The Apprentice prize money to grow their current businesses. The Apprentice final airs Thursday, March 24 at 9pm on BBC One. For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
