TV presenter Helen Skelton has been announced as the latest star to join the line-up for Strictly Come Dancing 2022.
The former Blue Peter presenter is the 11th contestant announced for the latest series of the popular BBC dance competition which is due to return in September. 39-year-old Helen began her presenting career on Blue Peter in 2008, before going on to present BBC One’s Countryfile, a role she has held since 2014.
She was also recently announced as host on BBC Radio 5 Live’s morning show following Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore’s departure.

Helen will join already announced Bros star Matt Goss, Kiss radio host Tyler West, Paralympic swimming gold medallist Ellie Simmonds and Coronation Street actors Will Mellor and Kym Marsh. Loose Women star Kaye Adams and Radio 2’s Richie Anderson and comedian and actress Jayde Adams are also set to compete.
Ted Lasso actress Ellie Taylor was revealed to be taking part yesterday (9 August) after revealing the news on ITV’s Lorraine.
