BBC's Race Across the World is back with a brand new location and a fresh batch of contestants for season three. The hit global competition series, sees pairs of intrepid travellers race across the globe with no planes, no credit cards and no smartphones in sight.
Season two of the BBC programme saw five teams attempt to travel the entire length of Latin America, while series one tasked pairs of travellers with racing to reach the Far East. In series three, five pairs of intrepid travellers will race across Canada. Ocean to ocean.
This year's pairs consist of best friends Cathie, from South Wales, and Tricia; brothers Marc and Michael; husband and wife Mobeen and Zainib; and two father and daughter duos – Kevin and Claudia, and Ladi and Monique.

As always, the teams must navigate their way through the very edges of civilisation, taking in vast prairies, untouched wilderness, and great lakes without the use of air travel or any of the trappings of modern-day life. They will only have the cash equivalent of doing the same journey by plane to their final destination. Here's everything you need to know.

Taking place against the stunning backdrop of Canada but with no mobile phone, internet access or credit cards to assist them, the competing travellers will discover that to reach the finish line quickest, and win the £20,000 cash prize, they need to rely on their travel skills and ingenuity as well as the kindness of strangers.
