Pointless fans were in tears after the BBC broadcast Tom Parker's episode.
The Wanted musician died this week at the age of 33 following his battle with brain cancer. He was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in 2020 - and his wife, Kelsey, confirmed the sad news in a post shared on Instagram.
She said: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children."
An announcement at the start of tonight's episode of Pointless confirmed the channel was showing the musician's episode to pay tribute to his legacy.
It said: "This episode of Pointless Celebrities was recorded late last year and has been scheduled tonight with the full support and blessing of Tom's family.
Tom competed on the gameshow alongside bandmate Max George. They were testing their wits against celebrity teams featuring Greg McHugh, Kimberley Nixon, Dominic Holland, Ninia Benjamin, Dom Joly and Ria Lina.
The two bandmates put in an impressive performance and progressed all the way to the final. Max and Tom took home the jackpot of £2,500 after they correctly selected a Pointless answer.
The money was donated to the Brain Tumour Research charity and viewers following the show on Twitter were moved to tears by the emotional episode.
