BBC NI confirm Ulster SFC TV schedule with GAAGO also set to show two provincial games

BBC NI will show six of the eight games in this year’s Ulster Senior Football Championship starting with Saturday’s preliminary round tie between Armagh and Antrim.

The broadcaster streamed eight games from the Allianz Football and Hurling Leagues earlier this year and will show the majority of the games from the forthcoming Ulster SFC campaign.

Three of the games will be shown simultaneously with RTÉ while the other two games will be shown exclusively live on the GAAGO platform.

The two games in question will be Cavan’s quarter-final tie against the winners of Saturday’s Armagh versus Antrim clash and the provincial semi-final between the winners of Fermanagh and Derry against the winners of Tyrone and Monaghan.

The pay-per-view streaming service has taken over from Sky Sports as a broadcaster for the 2023 Championship season following a new media rights deal which was agreed last autumn.

Viewers can purchase games individually or pay for a subscription for the rest of the year for €90.

GAAGO will show 22 games from the All-Ireland Football Championship as well as seven Tailteann Cup games and nine All-Ireland Hurling Championship games.

After this weekend’s Ulster opener, provincial champions Derry are in action as they take on Fermanagh in Brewster Park on Saturday, April 15 before the Red Hands host Monaghan in Omagh the following afternoon.

Cavan’s clash with Armagh or Antrim is on GAAGO on Saturday, April 22 while Down host Donegal on Sunday, April 23.

BBC will show live coverage of the second semi-final on Sunday, April 30 while both BBC and RTÉ will provide coverage of this year’s Ulster SFC final on Sunday, May 14.
