BBC Happy Valley viewers all praise Ryan and say they are 'proud' of him during tense final episode

Fans of BBC's Happy Valley all said they were 'proud' of Ryan in Sunday night's dramatic finale. The 16-year-old admitted to the police he had been chatting to his biological dad and on-the-run felon Tommy Lee Royce.

Viewers were left itching for more following last Sunday's episode, which had ended with Ryan talking to Tommy on his games console. Tommy had remembered Ryan's username from one of his secret visits to see him in prison and had found him whilst on the run from the authorities.

The pair soon switched to voice call, where Tommy told Ryan he wanted to take him and flee to Marbella. He told him had a chance to start a new life and urged Ryan to forget about his upcoming GCSEs. Ryan said he would 'think about it.'
