Happy Valley's series finale is fast approaching after the fourth episode aired on BBC One on Sunday, January 22 with some serious plot developments around characters Tommy Lee Royce, Catherine Cawood et al - beware if you read on there'll be spoilers included.
And it seems viewers won't be the only ones wondering how the drama on Happy Valley will conclude. The stars themselves don't even know the outcome of the Royce v Cawood longtime feud as several endings have been recorded to give the show's maker's a few options and to avoid any spoilers.
The actor who plays seemingly mild-mannered pharmacist Faisal, Amit Shah, has revealed some show secrets on the BBC podcast, Obsessed with Happy Valley, which is released every Sunday after the latest episode airs.

After Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) escaped from court and cycled into more trouble, Rob Hepworth (Mark Stanley) made the shocking discovery of his missing wife's body in a suitcase and with Faisal acting like a ruthless, cool killer all of a sudden, viewers could see anything happening in the final two episodes.
Speaking on the podcast, Amit spoke about his character's personality switch and why he did what he did. He said: "The beauty of Sally's writing is she doesn't really create goodies and baddies, they're all flawed in their own beautiful way. When you're approaching a character like this you're not looking to play him as a stereotype, you're just looking for the human qualities and the reasons for why he chooses his actions and why he makes those certain choices.
"You have to put stuff aside a little bit and yeah he's done something wrong or he has a flaw... but why is that and how do I make that real and human, that was my approach, that was why I didn't treat him as a baddie as such."
The actor went on to reveal that he doesn't know how Faisal's story will conclude: "I still don't know how it still all ends up for him because we filmed the final scenes in various different ways and Sally was actually directing those and so it's quite open and we did different options so I'm not entirely sure how he is going to end up."
Happy Valley has two episodes left, airing on Sunday, January 29 and Siunday, February 5. Fans already have their predictions how the series will end, while we've made the (extremely strong) case why the Sally Wainwright show is the best UK drama, ever - read that here.
