BBC EastEnders viewers question wardrobe choices

EastEnders viewers tuned in tonight to see if Ben Mitchell has pulled the tubes and killed his dad Phil.

But while we watched Phil get saved by the alarm, some fans of the show were a little distracted by how tight Ben's shirt was.

Played by actor Max Bowden, Ben wore a clingy grey denim shirt that burst open between the buttons when he sat down.

The gaping material across his mid-drift caught the attention of people watching from home.

Taking to Twitter , one, @SimonMu25115266 said: "What the hell was wardrobe thinking when they put that shirt on Ben. #fartootight"

Another, @Erasmo2058 said: "Ben will get his wish when a button from his shirt pops off and hits Phil between the eyes."

A third, @DionPetrie said: "Ben is going to pop out of that shirt in a minute."

A fourth, @whayson2 added: "A shirt that actually fits Ben Mitchell? I’d like to see it."

Actor Max has gained quite a cult following since he joined the soap earlier this year, many swooning over him whenever he appears on screen.

Many may remember the 24-year-old from his days in Waterloo Road where he played Justin Fitzgerald and he has also had roles in Casualty and Doctors.

*EastEnders is on BBC One Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and available on BBC iPlayer
